Present your paper
The Organization of the “3rd Free Software Congress. Region of Valencia”, which will be hold in Alicante the next 5th, 6th and 7th November 2008, gives you different possibilities of participation. The participation is open to all the experts and teachers who are interested in present their projects, experiences and knowledge in the Congress adapted to the specified objectives.
There are different ways of participation: Presentations, Tutorials, Workshops and Round tables. They are sessions and/or activities that will be developed in parallel with the conferences during the congress. The proposals will be valored by the Comitee of the Congress Program.
These are the descriptions of the different proposed modalities:
Presentations
Descriptive sessions about topics related to present and future of the free software, present developments and its application to the teaching, creation of interactive digital contents, catalogation, open standars, use of licences…
Tutotials
Formative sessions of approximately 1 hour designed to increase knowledges about a specific topic: use of tools for the elaboration of educative digital contents, use of the interactive digital board and so on. They will be like short specialized formation courses.
Workshops
Sessions of no more than an hour aimed at describing and experimenting practically specific aspects of interest: wallpapers, animations in OpenOffice, creation of activities in Jclic, creation of contents with eXe-learning, free software use for music creation, video format reestructuring, practical demonstration of assemblies, innovative use of Linux,…
Round Tables
Sessions to share in different topics related to the objectives of the Congress. The Congress Program Comittee will evaluate the proposals about the participation of the speaker in the round tables organized by the Comittee or the creation of other round tables which could be interesting.
If you register as a speaker, it is important to indicate in which modality you would like to participate and you must include an exhaustive description about your proposal, as well as the necessary equipment for its execution.
